A brand new Service Robotics Project: Servicerobotic for humans with physical disabilities

Welcome to the Collaborative Center for Applied Research on Service Robotics

ZAFH Autonomous Mobile Service Robotics is a project for developing intelligent mobile robots. It is run by a network of three Universities of Applied Sciences, funded by the state of Baden-Württemberg.

Ravensburg-Weingarten University of Applied Sciences is involved with two of a total of five work groups.

The group of Professor Wolfgang Ertel is researching and developing in the field of machine learning, a branch of artificial intelligence. The goal is the development of an universally applicable Teachingbox, which enables robots to adapt to their environment, what again reduces the programming effort.

The group of Professor Holger Voos is researching on the verification of security properties on autonomous robots. The goal is to develop a standardized method which covers all aspects of securitiy and its warranty.
